Return and refund guidance for food and pantry products sold through Outpost Market.
Because Outpost Market sells food, spices, coffee, tea, and pantry goods, opened products cannot be returned or resold.
Food products are not returnable for preference, taste, ordering the wrong item, or changing your mind after delivery.
If there is a damage, fulfillment, or quality issue, contact us before sending anything back so we can review the best next step.
If an item arrives damaged, incorrect, or missing, contact us within 7 days of delivery.
Please include your order number, a description of the issue, and photos of the product, packing materials, and shipping box when applicable.
Please keep the original packaging until the issue is resolved. Photos and packaging details help us review carrier damage and fulfillment mistakes.
We will review the issue and, when appropriate, offer a replacement, refund, or other reasonable solution based on product availability and the circumstances.
If you need to cancel an order, contact us as soon as possible.
Orders can usually be cancelled without penalty only before they have been packed, labeled, or handed to the carrier.
If an order has already shipped, shipping costs may not be refundable unless the issue was caused by our error.
If tracking says an order was delivered but the package is missing, check nearby delivery areas, mailbox locations, building staff, neighbors, and carrier notices first.
The carrier may require a missing-package claim or investigation. Send us the claim number or carrier response, and we will review what we can do from there.
Delivered-package claims are reviewed case by case because carrier scans and delivery photos may affect the available remedy.
Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method through Shopify checkout.
Once a refund is issued, bank and card processing times may vary.
